I am 25 yr old visiting Dubai to seek job opportunities and this blog is about my experience from Mangalore to Dubai.
If you are traveling to any country the most important thing needed is a visa. So the first thing i did was asked my uncle in Dubai to do a visa for me. My friend lets say Sachin, was also planning to come to Dubai. So we both applied together.
He got his visa in 2 days were as for me it took around 8 days for the same.
V booked the ticket to Dubai. I had been to air India express office since i have seen that air India express flight tight was second among the cheapest flight.

Imp procedure to be done , ''okay to go'' that's done in air India office when u take air tickets , even though you have booked online.
Let me share some thing about flight experience, since it was my first time in flight i reached airport a way to early. My flight was at 8 and i reached by 5 - 5.15.

After saying bye to our family and friends we (me, my friend and my aunt) we entered the airport. I will be writing exact procedure we followed inside the airport step by step
1) First checking procedure is while entering, one of the guard will ask for our passport, air-ticket copy and visa. After the checking we are allowed inside airport.
2) We have to search for baggage section where out bags (which we will put in luggage -20kg for air India flight) will be scanned. My and my friend bag was scanned and if its passed the scan it will be sealed using straps. And if they find some thing (mostly flammables) then they will ask us to remove them.
One incident i want to share was as i said my aunt bag was scanned and they thought some thing is there so they asked us to remove the bag, he was actually asking do we have any incense sticks, we said yes. So he wanted to check them so that there is no match box in them. Once he checked then her bag was also strapped.
Tip: don't pack your bags with soo much stuffs ( like ropes, taps etc) that u couldn't open in case the inspector demand baggage to open.
3) After strapping the bags from in baggage section next station is - tickets and boarding-pass section. Here the officer asked our passport, ticket copy, visa copy and then we had to put our baggage which are luggage. My bags (2bags) were both together 19. 6 kg.. Since we can carry 20kg for flight so these baggage when side. It will be going to arrange in flights. Once we got boarding pass
4) Next step was to fill some basic information about us, like seat number selected etc.
5) we will be waiting near counter for that to open. Once its opened we need to show the guy on the counter the boarding pass he will tick our seat number on his sheet of paper. May be by this they can confirm all the passengers who have booked arrived.
6) We form a zigzag Que, and finally go to place where we will be asked to keep our gadgets in a tray even out purse some item they ask to keep our belt too but for us belt was allowed. One more thing if u hv laptop or camera it has to pass through check , in these we have to remove every thing out from the bag and send the bag and gadgets separately through scanning machine.
We have to pass through metal detector and a guard with check us for any additional metal items.
7) As soon as we pass this, guard will punch on the boarding-pass and we can go forward to collect our belongs on the tray and also the handbags available.
8) We reached this stag at around 6. 30. So we had lot of time for flight ( till 8) so can hv snacks, go to restrooms also.
9) As soon as airport announces about our airline we have to go and stay in line.
We will be then carried by a bus towards the plane.
10) In the entrance to the place ladder there will be a person who will check the boarding pass, he tears a portion of pass and returns rest to us.

Once all the passengers come inside and sat they are asked to fasten the seat belts.
The instructions for all the emergency's that can occur is demonstrated by crew member. Then with the announcement of cabin caption our plane started to role and initially i dint feel much even while taking off. But once we reaching the height of some thousands the ear starts paining .
Tips: if u have a kid with you probably you should also carry some caps or ear phones for those which will distract kids from the pain airplane raise will cause.

It was around 3. 30 hrs journey. On the course of time we had a dinner served from air India which included -samosa ,plain sandwich, some banana clips, a cake and also include tea or office optional.
Let me discuss about a incident happened in plane. We all were getting tea or office served. There was 2 lady and a guy siting next section of seats. 2 ladies where mother(old lady) and her daughter - who had her 6 month baby on her lap. The air hostess started serving tea/coffee.. The old lady took a tea but her grandson in her lap started struggling and in that struggle child hit the hot tea and that hot tea fell on the guy not to them.. In the mean while other air-hostesses also come running to help them .. The mother of that kid is scolding air-hostess only because before poring tea only she had warned about this. Kid is crying and this lady is scolding only... In all this the worst situation was for the guy next to baby.. All tea was in his pants it was really hot but he dint couldn't react much.. Just said ok ok.. But it was painful sure. That too its near his private part. His flight experience was a night mare hahahah
Tips: always carry necessary things in hand bag such as a towel, a dress , water bottle. We never know when do we need this on our flights.

I am traveling to Dubai in year end that's Nov - Dec so its cold in flight and i knew that its cold so me and my frd were wearing jackets to protect our-self from sudden change of climate.
Let me also say about ambiance of flight, it really looked new ( may be its new plane) every thing was perfectly placed. Uff forgot to say about plane toilet. I am dam sure it was great when it took off from India but by the time v are close to Dubai , i went into a washroom - i was shocked seeing it. It was soo small -barely v can turn inside, and it was so dirty - with toilet papers, tissues, cups on floor and sinks. May be the passengers have done that on this flight itself.
Tips: Before boarding flight you better go to wash room and in 3 hrs of flight don't drink so much of water if you cant bare unclean toilets.

Once flight is almost nearer to Dubai we can see road lights and building lights which is very beautiful view. Caption will welcome us to Dubai and he will announce the basic stuff like altitude, weather conditions outside and so on. He will also inform how many more min to land. They will ask us to remain in our seat with seat belt on. I don't know why i dint feel its rough on landing, many said me that our hearts literally pop out when v are landing. But for me nothing as such happened. May be i was enjoying the moment and others just think about what if cases ( what if it crash, what if we all die, what if caption of the plane must does mistake, what if this is last day, what if that... What if this and all ) .
Enjoy the moments and that's so much great feelings than living in scary mood.
Finally the 4 hr flight landed and we were asked to remove seat belts and also hand baggage and come in que . And you know us na!!! All are soo urgent people that before they announce , forget announcing, before even plane was stopped properly people started to remove there stuffs from overhead baggage carrier. That is how impatient we are.
As soon as we came out of the plane a bus comes, which will drop us till the airport building. Once entered, you can see a big line for Emigration stand on any one. One who have emigrates id need not go through this, they can put punch the card with their relevant finger print ( matching the finger displayed on the computer screen) once it matches door will open and welcome to Dubai. For the first timers like me go through line. An Arabic guy will ask us to look at the screen standing exactly on the mark provided. Once all procedure is done he will put a seal on this and that's it.
Next thing we need to do is to collect our luggage bags.
